He has a degree in Management from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Master's degree in Finance from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

He began his career at KPMG in Lisbon, where he worked with clients from various sectors. He later worked as Assistant Manager at Deloitte in London. He worked as a Senior Consultant at Mobilidade Consultores, gaining experience in public-private partnerships, mainly in the area of road construction and applications for EU funds (QREN and ProDer). Since July 2010, he has been with Baker Tilly, where he is currently based. He is also a guest speaker at master's and undergraduate courses at the University of Évora.

He is member 83963 of the Portuguese Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ordem dos Técnicos Oficiais de Contas), holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Level I certification and is a member of Baker Tilly International's Transfer Pricing Group.

He has published several articles on financial and tax matters in national publications such as Diário Económico, Semanário Económico and OJE.
